The CPI Method: Speed Is the Tide That Lifts All Boats
At CPI, everything we do is built around one belief: speed is the tide that lifts all boats. The fastest athletes aren’t just fast — they’re the most explosive, the most confident, and the ones who stand out. We train year-round, in-season and out, building athletes who are faster, stronger, and harder to stop.
Speed First. Explosion. Intention.
At CPI, we build around speed first. Speed is the foundation — and we believe the fastest athletes are not only the most athletic, but the ones who separate themselves on the field, track, and court. When you get faster, everything else elevates with it.
Our training is aggressive, intentional, and science-driven. We track every athlete’s progress and use real data to make sure you’re improving — not just working hard, but working right.
Every rep, every sprint, every lift has a purpose. We don’t train for the sake of training — we train to produce results you can see, feel, and measure. Our coaches push athletes to be violent with their effort and precise with their technique, because that’s the combination that creates champions.
Whether you’re a youth athlete learning to move, a high school player trying to get a scholarship, or an adult looking to level up your fitness, CPI has a program built around your goals. We train in-season, out-of-season, and year-round — because getting better never takes a break.
COAST PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE
Start With a Performance Evaluation
Every athlete at CPI starts with a thorough performance evaluation. We assess how you move, where you’re strong, and where there’s room to get better. This allows our coaches to build a training plan that’s tailored to you — not a one-size-fits-all program. Most evaluations take about an hour and serve as the foundation for your entire CPI training experience.
This assessment includes strength testing, flexibility and range-of-motion screening, and believe-in-sport field-based drills. Results allow our coaches to design a training plan that supports long-term development, injury resilience, and measurable progress.
Most evaluations take approximately one hour to complete.
We believe speed is the tide that lifts all boats. The fastest athletes aren’t just fast — they’re the most athletic, the most confident, and the ones who stand out. Our speed development training covers all three phases: acceleration, max velocity, and change of direction. We time and track our athletes weekly using miles per hour, flying 10s, 10-yard acceleration, or the 40-yard dash. All metrics are stored in each athlete’s profile so parents, athletes, and coaches can see exactly how they’re progressing. We offer classes, small groups, 1-on-1, or team training.
Speed is a result of force — how hard you can drive into the ground and how explosively you can express it. Our strength and power programming is built to make athletes faster through the weight room. We track each athlete’s bar speed on key lifts and measure vertical and broad jumps. These numbers live in each athlete’s profile so parents, athletes, and coaches can follow progress over time. We offer classes, small groups, 1-on-1, or team training.
It’s not all speed and strength — if you’re not recovering properly and consistently, you won’t be performing at your best. Our recovery protocols are science-based and tailored to each individual. CPI offers Hyperbaric Chambers and Red Light Therapy beds to help you recover faster and stay healthier. The benefits include repairing muscle tissue, reducing soreness, restoring energy, balancing hormones, lowering injury risk, accelerating rehab, and improving long-term performance.
Our first goal is to build high-character athletes and future leaders. We pour into our athletes and help them grow stronger spiritually, mentally, and physically. This is our ministry and our calling — to serve this community and develop young people who make an impact both on and off the field.
Data doesn’t lie. At CPI, every athlete’s progress is tracked and stored in their personal profile. Speed metrics, jump numbers, bar velocity — it’s all there for athletes, parents, and coaches to review. We believe accountability and transparency are what separate a great training program from just another gym. When you can see the numbers improving, you stay motivated. When they plateau, we adjust.
Adults (16+) — CPI is for you too. Whether you want to call CPI home and train on your own schedule or join instructor-led classes, we have a path for you. Our adult classes are designed to build strength, mobility, and add longevity to your life. You’ll feel stronger and have more energy throughout your day. We also offer open gym memberships, small group training, and 1-on-1 coaching for those who want a more personalized approach.
EVERY ATHLETE. EVERY GOAL. ONE METHOD.
Training at CPI begins with your performance evaluation. We use that data to build a program designed specifically for you — because no two athletes are the same. Whether your goal is to get faster, get stronger, recover from an injury, or just feel better every day, the CPI Method gives you a clear plan and the coaching to execute it.
Sports Injury Prevention and Recovery
At Coast Performance Institute (CPI), injury prevention is a core part of how we train athletes. Every program is built around proper movement mechanics, smart progression, and individualized load management to help athletes reduce injury risk and train with confidence.
Even with the best preparation, injuries and setbacks can happen. When they do, CPI focuses on supporting athletes through safe recovery and long-term development. Our coaches emphasize correct technique, controlled return-to-training strategies, and ongoing movement quality to help athletes rebuild strength and resilience.
By integrating recovery-focused training, mobility work, and performance-based reconditioning, CPI helps athletes return stronger, more durable, and better prepared to perform at a high level.
NUTRITIONAL PLANNING
At Coast Performance Institute (CPI), nutrition supports performance, recovery, and long-term athletic development. Our coaches help athletes build simple, sustainable nutrition strategies that align with their training demands and goals.
Whether your focus is improving body composition, supporting recovery, or maintaining energy through high-intensity training, we guide you toward habits that fit your lifestyle and enhance performance.
We also provide guidance on effective pre- and post-training supplementation to ensure your body is properly fueled throughout the training process.
